We are often asked about the sodium content in Sel-acious. Local Spicery is not required to list nutritional information on our products, so we don’t have a definitive answer. No salt, sodium or potassium is added to the natural ingredients in our Sel-acious, though some sodium is naturally present in fresh vegetables, spices, and Kombu. Our Kombu, which represents approximately 1.9% of the blend by weight, is wild harvested from the Atlantic Ocean.

Louisiana Blackening Spice
$10.00 – $27.00Inspired by the Cajun chef, Paul Prodhomme, our blackening spice blend combines full flavored Cajun spices with just the right amount of heat. Be careful when blackening to have the ventilation fan on full blast, or better yet, use outdoors. Use as a dry rub on any protein. Cook at very high temperature in melted butter in cast iron skillet or on BBQ. Pre-salt your meat if desired. This blend has no added salt.
