Known as French Curry, Vadouvan pairs an aromatic, high-toned curry with french favorites ~ Shallots and Onions. We add Star Anise to level out the spikey bright tones necessary to achieve the aromatic qualities of Vadouvan. Use as any curry powder. For traditional-style, sauté 1lb chopped shallots and 2lb chopped onion with 3T of blend.
Hand blended in small batches: onion, cumin, shallot, cardamom, garlic, fenugreek, turmeric, nutmeg, chives, star anise, clove, jalapeno, and vanilla.

Sazón

We developed our recipe with a friend from Puerto Rico who made sure we were consistent with the flavors she grew up with. Mix 1½T spice blend w/1-2 C chopped herbs (cilantro, parsley, mint), 3-4 cloves minced garlic, & 2-3T olive oil for traditional marinade. Retain a few dollops to top dish.

Za’atar
$10.00 – $27.00Za’atar (also spelled Zatar, Zahtar) is an aromatic blend used in the Middle East, featuring Sesame Seed, Sumac, Coriander and Thyme with a touch of Sea Salt. It’s especially popular in Turkey, Jordan, and North Africa. Use on everything ~ meats, roasted potatoes and vegetables, mix with olive oil as a dip, or sprinkle on hummus. Za’atar has a unique zesty, herb flavor deserving of a tabletop place next to salt and pepper.
Hand blended in small batches with: toasted sesame seed, sumac, coriander, thyme, and sea salt.
Black Truffle Sea Salt
$34.00Prized by Roman chefs since the early fifth century, a taste of Truffle turns everyday meals into gourmet creations. Wealthy Romans would give a Truffle as a gift to honor the recipient as well as the giver. Sprinkle this finishing Salt on meats, eggs, potatoes, vegetables, pasta, seafood and popcorn to add a hint of earthy, mushroomy flavor. Mix with a swirl of olive oil to create a gourmet bread dipper.
