Za’atar (also spelled Zatar, Zahtar) is an aromatic blend used in the Middle East, featuring Sesame Seed, Sumac, Coriander and Thyme with a touch of Sea Salt. It’s especially popular in Turkey, Jordan, and North Africa. Use on everything ~ meats, roasted potatoes and vegetables, mix with olive oil as a dip, or sprinkle on hummus. Za’atar has a unique zesty, herb flavor deserving of a tabletop place next to salt and pepper.
Hand blended in small batches with: toasted sesame seed, sumac, coriander, thyme, and sea salt.

Ours has more of a celery taste than most. Add to soups, stews, and stuffing, sprinkle on cottage cheese, or mix with mayonnaise, sour cream and/or yogurt for a simple creamy vegie dip. Celery Sea Salt is also a key ingredient in the ever-popular Bloody Mary drink.

La Kama
$10.25 – $27.70La Kama meaning “the bed” in Darija is the most common spice blend used in Moroccan cooking. Credited by some as originating in Tangiers, its aromatic sweet and warming flavor can be found in a multitude of dishes throughout the Barbary Coast and Middle East.
Use as a dry rub; in marinades, curries, and soups; or with lentils, couscous, rice or other grains.
Hand blended in small batches with: turmeric, ginger, white pepper, cinnamon, pepper, nutmeg, and allspice.
Chermoula
$10.50 – $28.35Chermoula is used as a marinade or sauce for Moroccan tagines of fish, vegetables, or meats. With its spicy, tangy flavor, substituting Chermoula for pesto or chimichurri on any dish delivers a signature Mediterranean flavor. Mix 1½T spice blend w/1-2 C chopped herbs (cilantro, parsley, mint), 3-4 cloves minced garlic, & 2-3T olive oil for traditional marinade. Retain a few dollops to top dish.
