Mint Tisane

$10.00$12.00
(Based on 2 reviews)

Mint tisane has long been a traditional cure-all, in addition to its rich history as a drink of hospitality in the Mediterranean.  Peppermint especially is considered both soothing and energizing, making it a wonderfully simple refreshment.

In Greek mythology, the nymph Minthe was turned into the sweet bush for Persephone. Valued as the herb of hospitality and for medicinal purposes, Romans spread mint throughout Europe. The colonialists used Mint as an untaxed tea. No caffeine ~ No added flavors. Just pure Mint to refresh you.

Oolong Tea

$16.00$17.00

Oolong Tea, from the Chinese words for “Black Dragon,” is one of the rarest and costliest teas in the world. It is grown in mountainous areas, and treated with a labor-intensive, hand-crafted process.

Local Spicery’s Oolong tea, from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian, China, is harvested in the late spring, sun-wilted, bruised, twisted into strands, partially oxidized, and air-dried and fired to obtain the traditional rich, smoky flavor that causes many people to place Oolong between the spectrum of green and black tea.

Defining a rose as anything more than as itself was beyond Gertrude Stein, and we will not try to embarrass ourselves in the attempt.

A Rose is a Rose.  Roses & other flowers have been used as flavorings for millennia across many cultures.  In teas and tisanes, roses have long been considered a cure-all.  This history, along with its delicate floral flavor and lovely color, made it particularly popular during the Victorian era.
