Young Hyson Green Tea

This tea is comprised of young leaves, wok-fired before being hand-rolled and twisted in order to prevent oxidation. It was a favorite in colonial America, and is rumored to be the first tea ordered by George Washington after becoming President. No flavors added ~ Just pure Young Hyson Green Tea.

In 18th century South Africa, Green Rooibos was harvested in the mountains & brought home on donkeys. The Dutch fermented it in the style of Chinese black teas, in order to use it as a substitute for the expensive to import beverage. Red Rooibos was first created with fermentation in 1904.
