Moroccan Oatmeal Cookies

A delicious twist on traditional, these cookies never last long enough to take a picture.  If you’ve been to one of our events- most recently, our mill’s Grand Opening in Marysville- you’ll have had the opportunity to see for yourself how quickly they disappear in the crowd!

  • 1 ½ cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp Moroccan Breakfast Spice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups Quaker Oats
  • 1 cup currants

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Mix flour, baking soda, and spice; set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add dry mixture to wet ingredients while stirring. Stir in oats and currants.
  3. Place teaspoon-sized drops on cookie sheet.  Bake for 10 minutes.
  4. Cool and enjoy!
