A delicious twist on traditional, these cookies never last long enough to take a picture. If you’ve been to one of our events- most recently, our mill’s Grand Opening in Marysville- you’ll have had the opportunity to see for yourself how quickly they disappear in the crowd!
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp Moroccan Breakfast Spice
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup butter
- ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups Quaker Oats
- 1 cup currants
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Mix flour, baking soda, and spice; set aside.
- In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add dry mixture to wet ingredients while stirring. Stir in oats and currants.
- Place teaspoon-sized drops on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
- Cool and enjoy!
