Be careful when blackening to have the ventilation fan on full blast, or better yet, use outdoors. Use as a dry rub on any protein. This chile pepper is so fresh! Deep red color, wonderful scent, sweet rich flavor. It is so hard to find ground chile pepper that is both fresh and not too spicy. It leaves room for adding chipotle or fresh hot peppers without making a dish too spicy.
